Colour is important because that is what gives the overall vibe of the page and helps represent the artist. For example Lorde her background colour is very dark which is what she is known for because of the dark clothes she wears and the dark lipstick, it has become her trademark. The colour adds to the website and what the artist is about. It says to the audience what they are about and what they are like. This means that Colour is very important to think about because, if the colour doesn’t go with what the artist is like it could mess up what the audience thinks their star image is.

Image is important because, when the audience says the artist the images will come up in their head, it will become a way of identifying the artist. For example Bastille always have a picture of a car on the website and album which makes you think of that whenever you think of them. The images say to the audience what the artist is like and what their music is like. For example Cage the Elephant there images is mostly are in black and white which gives the idea that they are quite indie/alternative.

 Layout is important because, it help identify the target audience. For example if the layout is easy to use like a blog then the target audience will be older as they are known for not being able to use the internet well. While in the layout is quite flashy then the target audience will be for the younger audience. This tells the audience what kind of music they make which could attract or put of people from listening to your music. This means that when planning the layout for our website we should keep it interesting because, it will show the audience who we are directing are music at and hopefully attract our target audience.
